STA - Respite House
Our respite facility is exclusively open to NBDS day program participants with only NBDS staff providing care. This ensures that your loved one will be cared for by a team with whom they have an established connection. Depending on your preferences, we can provide support in a 1:1 or 1:2 ratio, our onboarding process is designed to gather all pertinent information to help us create a bespoke experience that is as unique as each individual.
We think that creating a cosy, home-away-from-home is essential to ensuring that our participants have a fun and restful stay.
NBDS respite offers flexibility and solutions to suit your needs. We offer overnight and extended stays if required. Our three-bedroom, fully furnished house is situated in a peaceful cul-de-sac that includes its own park.
About The House
Two large participant bedrooms that have been fitted out with quality beds and extras, creating stunning spaces to relax in during your stay, but feel free to bring some of your home to ours be it linen, toys, pictures and even your favourite pillow.
Bedroom 1

Fitted out with an Aspire fully adjustable Comfimotion Care King Single bed (including night assist lights and body contouring memory foam mattress) to ensure a more restful night’s sleep and personalised comfort.

Fitted out with an iCare fully adjustable Homecare Long single Bed complete with Quattro Plus mattress system, (alternating air mattress, providing support and comfort by using a system of pressure sensors to inflate/deflate to evenly distribute pressure).

Coming Soon - Sensory Room
· A multi-sensory environment that is a dedicated space where sensory stimulation can be controlled (intensified or reduced), presented in isolation or combination and matched to fit the motivation, interests, relaxation, therapeutic and/or development needs of the participant.
